The City of Texarkana Arkansas Police Department provides law enforcement support for the Texarkana Regional Airport (TXK) during airline operation hours, seven days a week to the traveling public, airport tenants, and employees at TXK. The purpose of law enforcement is to safeguard the traveling public and provide immediate support to the Department of Homeland Security.

The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department has successfully demonstrated a high level of excellence and professionalism in the field of law enforcement by meeting the standards set forth by the Arkansas Law Enforcement Accreditation Program (A.L.E.A.P) and upon it, was conferred the venerable distinction and honor of a fully Accredited Law Enforcement Agency.

Texarkana Regional Airport Air Rescue Fire Fighting (ARFF) Department
The Texarkana Regional Airport has an onsite Air Rescue Fire Fighting team. Its mission is to provide fire response should an aircraft have an accident or incident at the airport. The ARFF is currently Index A, as required for airports with commercial airlines, but has the equipment and personnel available to meet Index B demands.
