Airport Board of Directors

The Airport Authority is governed by a nine-member Board of Directors, four of whom are residents of Texarkana, Miller County, Arkansas, four of whom are residents of Texarkana, Bowie County, Texas, and one member at-large with experience in managing or directing municipal or regional economic or industrial development. The Board Members are elected for three-year terms. 

• Texarkana, Arkansas, resident Board Members are appointed and approved by the Board of Directors for the City of Texarkana, Arkansas.  
• Texarkana, Texas, resident Board Members are appointed by the mayor and approved by the city council for the City of Texarkana, Texas.  
• The member-at-large is appointed in the same manner; provided, however, that the member-at-large is approved jointly by the cities’ governing bodies. 

In addition to a governing Authority, the Airport Authority also serves as an advisory board to the cities of Texarkana, Arkansas, and Texarkana, Texas, reviewing policy, administrative, and management matters for TXK. 

Board meetings are held in the Airport Administration Conference Room on the last Thursday of each month at 9 a.m., unless otherwise noted, located at 2600 TXK Blvd. Texarkana, AR 71854.
